I love that John Lennon tune! Well the year isn't quite over but close and while it indeed was a good one, we're certainly looking forward to next year. I lost some old friends this year but made some new ones so I'm hoping for a net gain. I've met a few people with too much money but never anyone with too many friends. Most of you will have heard by now of the loss of our dear friend and neighbour, Sherry Bradford, who lost the long fight with cancer in August. There were others very important to me that wouldn't be known in most hunting circles. So we're celebrating New Years with lots of friends and will make some lasting memories. As they say, a good friend will always bail you out of jail but a true friend is right there with you saying "Damn, that was fun!" After the New Years festivities it's back to work for Shane and I. Shane will be at the Dallas Safari Club convention January 11-14, then we meet up in Salt Lake City for the big FNAWS show - Booth 2031. We'll then hop over to the even bigger as in friggin' HUGE SCI Convention in Reno. We'll be in a new location, a result of having built up a lot of preference points with our continuing donations. So look for us there in Booth 1561 at the end of Argali Avenue near the Campfire Grill. Come on by for a cold one and tell us your best huntin' lies. We don't know any! If you've been to SCI before then I know you'll be back and if you haven't made it yet, don't miss this one. If you're not hunting you should be at this hunting show. It's got something for everyone. We're continuing work on the website and access is getting a bit easier for us to make changes. I can tell you as of this date December 27 we have very few openings left for 2007. We have 2 sheep openings available on Hunt #3, 2 moose openings on Hunt # 7, and 3 moose openings on Hunt # 8. There might be a possibility of grizzly on those hunts as well. There are some excellent dates open in 2008 and it's not too early to think about 2009. Just look back at how quickly 2006 got behind us. Have a Happy New Year and travel safe.
