Roy Caswell was born and raised in Kamloops but was led astray from a promising career in the Canadian military by the lies of his good friend Al Crawford. Roy hired on as a wrangler in 2003 but soon earned the confidence of those around him and ended the season as a guide. 2004 was his first full season guiding and the highlight was the 429 Boone & Crockett caribou he guided Brett Batchman to. In spite of the offers to be winter caretaker at Turnagain Lake he is now an RCMP constable but spends his "holidays" with us.

Al Crawford is another Kamloops native who took a more orthodox route into the guiding industry having graduated from a Guide’s training school in the Chilcotin. He started guiding at Turnagain in 1998 and the promise of one day getting a paycheque has kept him coming back every year since. In the meantime he has never had a sheep hunter leave without getting a ram.

Kyle Serle probably had more hunting experiences under his belt when we first hired him as a wrangler than most guides do when they start guiding. Born and raised in Fraser Lake he has become our "go to" guy in just 2 seasons with us. With a smile (and an appetite) that never ends he's as s teady and reliable as they come and we're happy to have him with us.

Gene Overton is the dean of the guides in the Cassiar mountains. He started his guiding career with his late father-in-law Frank Stewart back when the mountains were brand new! He purchased this guiding area in 1963 for less than what you can buy a horse for now and built it up over the next 25 years into a top notch outfit. He can still outwork and outride most guys half his age although he likes to limit himself to the gentler pursuits of moose and caribou hunting. His experience and knowledge of the area is priceless.
